About Liz Scott

I spent twelve years at the BBC — as a researcher, reporter, and producer. On the surface it looked like a dream. Internally I was struggling. Anxiety, worry, and the constant pressure to perform eventually became too much, and I took a six-month sabbatical. I never went back.
That break became a turning point. I set up a coaching business and began working with clients from all walks of life. At first I immersed myself in traditional coaching techniques, but the more I learned, the more restless I became. Something was still missing.
Then in 2013 I discovered the Three Principles, also known as the Inside-Out Understanding. It felt like coming home. I realised that peace of mind and clarity were not things to be chased or achieved. They were already within me. That discovery changed everything about how I work and how I live.
Around the same time I reconnected deeply with the natural world. I've always loved being outdoors, but something shifted. I no longer feel separate from nature. I realise I am nature, and nature is me. Every morning I walk before breakfast, greeting the moorland and meadows like old friends. Nature has become my greatest teacher, and a metaphor for everything I believe about what it means to be human.
In 2020 I started working in my local community of Ivybridge, sharing Wellbeing Listening through a Community Interest Company. You can find out more about this story here. This project ran for nearly 5 years.
In 2025 an inner knowing led me to walk a pilgrimage, 630 miles across Britain over 48 days, following the earth's ancient energy currents. It wove together everything I had been exploring for years. It stripped life back to what truly matters.
I believe there is something quietly revolutionary about a woman at this stage of life choosing to slow down and listen. Not to fix herself, but to remember who she already is.
Alongside my coaching work I am a writer. My book To Listen is to Love is available as a PDF. I co-present The Wild, Wise Feminine Podcast and share a daily Five Minutes In Nature on Insight Timer. I am also part of a small international group of volunteers committed to sharing the Inside-Out Understanding in communities across the world.

Meet Stuart
Stuart Newberry brings nearly twenty years of coaching experience and a career that few can match. He retired from the police as a Detective Superintendent — a role that demanded clear thinking, steady judgement, and the ability to lead under pressure.
He now works with leaders in business and education, helping them cut through the noise, find clarity, and lead with greater confidence and purpose. His approach is grounded, direct, and shaped by decades of real-world experience at the highest levels.
Stu works independently but is also part of this practice — and occasionally we work together as a team when the situation calls for it.
If you're a leader looking for that kind of support, Stu would love to hear from you.
